Miquel Duran Frigola

Research interests

I’m currently studying a Masters in Bioinformatics at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), in Barcelona. In January 2011 I started my MSc project on the discovery of new therapeutical strategies using interactomes associated to a disease, in which we integrate bioinformatic and chemoinformatic approaches.

Previous working experience

02/2010 - 07/2010 Research and cooperation to development. Department of Process Engineering and Environmental Sciences, UCA, El Salvador. Granted by Agència Catalana de Cooperació i Desenvolupament (ACCD).

01/2009 - 01/2010 Research in photochemistry at Nonell’s lab, in the Organic Chemistry Department at Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS). Partnership grant from AGAUR.

08/2009 - 11/2009 Visiting student at Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences & Technology. Scholarship Seed Fund Project MIT - Spain and Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona.

06/2008 - 10/2008 Collaboration in the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry Department, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones científica (CSIC). Introduction to research grant JAE-Intro.
